Beyond Behaviours
Overview
Beyond Behaviours is for parents of children under 6 years old, who are known to one of the specialist Enfield community therapy services (e.g. Speech & Language, Occupational Therapy, Paediatrics, Child Development Team Psychology).
The workshop is delivered as part of the multi-disciplinary pathway and aims to help eligible parents to understand how to manage behaviour that challenge:-
Session 1: Understanding behaviour and building secure attachment (run by Child Development Team Psychology).
Session 2: Understanding sensory needs and anxiety (run by Child Development Team Psychology and Occupational Therapy child).
Session 3:
Building communication;
Using proactive and reactive strategies for managing behaviours that challenge (run by Child Development Team Psychology and Speech & Language Team).

OnlineWho Is It For?
Only parents-carers whose child meets criteria:-
- Aged under 6 years old; and
- is known to specialist Enfield community therapy services (e.g. Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Paediatrics, Child Development Team, Psychology).
The team is currently unable to offer Interpreters for the group. Clinicians are encouraged to consider alternative methods of support if parent/carers require an interpreter;
