Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance (EBSNA) Workshop

Overview

Does your child find it difficult to attend school for emotional reasons?

Join the Educational Psychology Service at an online two-part workshop for parents and carers.

We will:

  • Learn more about anxiety;
  • Explore what feels helpful for your child and family;
  • Discuss working together with schools to help young people attend;
  • Share your thoughts and ideas with each other;
  • Identify what help and support is available;
  • Connect with other parents and carers with similar concerns;
  • Consider how we can look after ourselves when things are hard;

This two-part workshop brings in research and good practice in this area to help parent’s and carer’s make sense of their child’s difficulties in accessing school within the context of the school, family, and their individual needs on the topic of Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance.
