Our Voice Healthy Parent-Carer Course
Overview
The Healthy Parent Carers’ programme is designed to improve the health and wellbeing of parent-carers of children and young people with additional needs, by promoting self-confidence and the ability to take greater control of how to deal with things and to give some time to focus on their own needs.
The programme was inspired by and co-produced with parent-carers from the Family Faculty at the University of Exeter and will be run for small groups and led by trained facilitators who are also parent-carers and understand the challenges.
It is not a parenting course, or about support for your child – it is a course to support parent-carers themselves.
