“Parents In MIND” Parents/Carers Support Group
Overview
This is an 8-week online support program specifically designed for parents whose children or young people (aged 11-16) are currently on the waiting list for CAMHS support related to anxiety, depression, self-harm, and suicidal ideation.
Parents in Mind online group, is a safe and confidential space for parents/carers to gain information and skills to support their young person, as well as receive peer support from other parents/carers.
The programme is aimed to provide broad strategies for supporting the mental health of children and young people and parents’ resilience.
Part of this programme will be educational, while the other parts will be practical strategies and facilitated peer support from other parents/carers facing similar challenges.

Delivery
The group will commence on Wednesday, 21st May, and is scheduled to conclude on Wednesday, 16th July, running from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM each week. (The group will not run during half-term).Who Is It For?
This course is for Parent/Carers whose children or young people (11-16) are known and open to CAMHS with the main presenting concerns of:
- anxiety,
- depression,
- self-harm,
- and/or suicidal ideation
Does NOT include PTSD, an eating disorder, significant learning disability.
How to Book
