PEERS: The Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills ABRIDGED Programme

Overview

This is a group for parents/carers that runs alongside the sessions for young people.

It aims to enable parents to support their young person’s journey.

These are weekly sessions to discuss what their young person has covered that week, as well as sharing helpful tips and techniques to practice at home.

This group will offer an inclusive and safe space to share where parents can reflect on their young person’s progress.

Abridged PEERS in Enfield is a programme which aims to help young people to learn and develop the skills to have and sustain successful friendships. It supports young people to gain experience and be more comfortable in social interactions whilst enjoying the process!

Parents/carers’ involvement is a key part of this programme.

Duration

One hour a week over 7 weeks.

Delivery

Face-to face sessions.

Who Is It For?

Parents-Carers of autistic children aged 11 years plus (SEND).
