Family Relationship Programmes

Strengthening Families – Reducing Parental Conflict (RPC) – Programme

Overview

Family life can be stressful. When parents (or co-parents) feel under pressure, disagreements can happen more often.

While some conflict is normal, frequent, intense, or poorly resolved arguments can affect children’s wellbeing and development.

This programme offers practical, positive ways to communicate better, manage stress, and reduce conflict—so children feel more secure.

In this programme you will:

  • Understand what harmful conflict is and how it can affect children
  • Identify triggers and patterns, and where conflict shows up in parenting or co-parenting
  • Improve communication—whether you live together or apart
  • Learn ways to manage stress and anger, and resolve disagreements positively
  • If you live apart, get support to work towards a parenting plan
  • Strengthen your relationship with your child (even if they don’t live with you full time)
