The Incredible Years Programme
Overview
The Incredible Years is a series of interlocking, evidence-based programme for parents-carers, children, and teachers, supported by over 30 years of research.
The programme aims to increase the use of effective parenting strategies; and the goal is to prevent and treat young children’s behaviour problems and promote their social, emotional, and academic competence.
Parents-Carers will develop a positive parenting tool kit to:
- Support your child to manage their feelings, and deal with difficulties
- Better awareness to manage your own emotional responses
- Help your child to listen to and cooperate with instructions
- Foster a more secure relationship and strengthen trust
- Build your child’s self-esteem
- Experience more joyful parenting
